When most people are asked for a single word to describe me, odds are they will say, “creative”.

And yet there’s more to that statement than you might think, more than my years of art and design. It’s also creative problem-solving. The ability to not only ‘read between the lines’ as the saying goes, but to read what lays between the words, to pick up on the energy of a person or situation, and to hear what is not being spoken.

The owl is in my logo in large part for that reason. The owl first listens to its surroundings to hear the tiniest disturbance in its environment. Its large eyes sees through the darkness to zero in on the source of what it has already picked up as unusual.

The owl is also a symbol of reason, logic, and wisdom.

These are the gifts I have to offer. The yin and the yang. The creative flow and the logical order. The spirit and the structure.

The Projector part of me is something I recently discovered — and it resonated so much I’ve started to pick up more of it in my work. I’m an Emotional 3/5 Projector: the “Martyr/Heretic”. I’m the person who is going to go get tons of experience in a lot of different areas (just look at my résumé!) in order to find out what works and what doesn’t. Then I’m going to do or say something that is 100% true but equally unexpected and unconventional.

That’s often just the loving kick in the pants people need to get a fresh perspective on things. Whether they appreciate it at the time or not is another matter. ;)
